Logan Fish Pond at Port Logan is worth a visit to feed the live turbot, cod and skate kept in the pond until they're ready for the owner's table!

WALKING

Walk in forests and woods, by the sea and up hills and mountains.  Discover unspoiled ancient and historic sites, from castles and ruins to standing stones and cup-and-ring-marked rocks.

We are near the Southern Upland Way.

AND SO MUCH MORE ......
 CYCLING

If you simply want to pootle along admiring the scenery there are a myriad of quiet roads, mostly single-track, that lead straight from Carsebuie Steading.

If mountain-biking is your thing, then we are close by the World Class Mountain Biking Centres of Kirroughtree and Glentrool, 2 of the 7 Stanes Cycleways that span the south of Scotland.

STARGAZING

Here at Carraig you will be able to stargaze as we are on the edge of the Forest of Galloway. There is no light pollution.

Galloway Forest Park is a Dark Skies Park, the 1st in the UK to be awarded this status. There are only 4 Dark Skies Parks in the world.
